Based on the practical training concept of “Learning by doing”, PIMALI humanitarian project aims to assist underprivileged youth over the age of 17 after their completion of compulsory schooling in Thailand. The aid provides them with basic practical hotel training for one year, which will ensure a professional future for them in the hospitality industry and financial independence subsequently.
A Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand that conducts Rehabilitation Programs, Physical Rehabilitation development programs as well as Language and Communication activities for the children with multiple disabilities.
These programmes were initiated as a CSR event in 2009 as a way of providing undergraduates and graduates an opportunity to gain corporate sector experience.
Baurs has been importing school furniture donated by schools in the Canton of Zurich to be distributed to rural areas since 2001. This initiative also supports handicapped schools. Since its inception, over 210 complete containers of furniture have been imported.

At the request by the management of Railway Authority to renovate and maintain the railway station for the benefit of the school children, university students and the local community who patronize this station daily, Baurs commenced the renovation project in 2011 and handed over the station to the general public on 12th December of that year. Since then, A. Baur & Company (Private) Limited has continued the maintenance and upliftment of the railway station to this day.
Over the span of over 120 years, Baurs has been at the forefront of contributing and developing rural areas and supporting charity organizations.
