A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd announced the appointment of Gehan Seneviratne as its new Board Director Alternate, marking a significant milestone in Seneviratne’s illustrious career.

In addition to this esteemed position reflecting well with his unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership skills, Seneviratne will continue to serve as Director of Baur Life Sciences (Pvt.) Ltd. His dual responsibilities underscore his pivotal role in steering both organisations towards sustained growth and innovation.

Seneviratne’s professional journey is further distinguished by his diverse experiences at GlaxoSmithKline, Merck Sharpe & Dohme and Baur Life Sciences, showcasing his deep expertise and strong leadership in the pharmaceutical industry. His visionary approach has driven the successful launch of several innovative products, earning him recognition as a respected thought leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

Seneviratne brings extensive experience to his role, having held numerous leadership positions across various institutions. His roles include serving as a Member for the Sri Lanka Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry and holding key positions in the Sri Lanka Chamber of Medical Devices Industry, such as Director, Chairman of Public Relations, Secretary and Vice President. Additionally, Seneviratne has held several positions in the Pharma Promoters Association of Sri Lanka as Honourable Secretary and President.

Seneviratne is also a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors. He holds a Master of Business Administration (International Business) from Edith Cowan University, Australia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.

He has reached the final stage at the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Australia. He is a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka.
